Why you should turn in your firearm and ammunition to the police 

No longer planning to use your firearm or ammunition? You must dispose of them safely. By handing them over to the police, you avoid the need to file a transfer notice.

Warning!

It is strictly forbidden to drop off firearms or ammunition at a sorting center or ecocenter, even if they are no longer functional. This poses a danger to both you and municipal staff.
