On-street parking

To facilitate maintenance on Laval streets, year-round parking restrictions are in force. Here’s what you need to know.

Get informed about maintenance operations

Various seasonal maintenance operations are carried on Laval streets, including snow removal as well as sidewalk maintenance and cleaning.

To facilitate these operations, it is important to comply with the parking restrictions effective from October 1 to April 30, but also outside of this period.

Understanding how it works

The following tips will facilitate your user experience with Info-Stationnement:

Road signs

Priority should be given to parking restrictions posted on orange temporary signs or signs planted in the snow. The restrictions indicated on these signs should take precedence over those posted on permanent signs.

To receive information concerning maintenance operations by telephone, please contact 311 to register.

You will receive an automated call informing you about maintenance operations that are planned, in progress or completed on your street.

For areas where only alternate parking is permitted.

Contact 450-680-2800 (telephone number indicated on the road sign):

  • An automated system will ask you for an address. Because operations can vary from one street to another, it is important to provide an address close to where your car is parked.
  • Once the system recognizes the address you have provided, you will receive information on maintenance operations planned, in progress or completed.

The road signs specify that the number to call during maintenance operations is 450-680-2800.

Dynamic parking

In the winter of 2025-2026, the City of Laval will roll out a new dynamic parking signage with illuminated solar-powered signs indicating the parking periods to comply with maintenance requirements.

This new signage is in service in Laval’s most densely populated areas: Pont-Viau, Laval-des-Rapides, and Chomedey.

Advantages

  • Less time required to complete maintenance operations thanks to information shared in real time.
  • More timely access to parking spaces after maintenance operations are completed.

How it works

If the illuminated sign is not visible from your residence, please check Info-Stationnement to find out the current parking restrictions.
