That\u2019s why the City of Laval is taking action to prevent it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><strong>Understanding radicalization leading to violence<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>A self-radicalized person slowly withdraws from their family, friends and colleagues. They adopt extreme beliefs that that can drive them to use violence in defence of a cause.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>How to help a person at risk?<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Are you concerned about someone you know? Here\u2019s how you can maintain contact.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Listen without judgment, with respect and empathy.
