    Temporary Car Shelters

Temporary car shelter structures can set up from October 15. The covering may be installed as of November 1. Car shelters are allowed until April 15 of the following year.

Due to weather conditions, temporary car shelters will be exceptionally tolerated until 30 April 2018.

    Information

The shelter must be installed on the main access to your driveway or your residence at a minimum distance from the curb or sidewalk. It is the owner's responsibility to make sure the installation is in keeping with the standards stipulated in zoning Bylaw L-2000.

If the installation does not comply with city bylaws, the Service de l'urbanisme could force the owner to make the necessary adjustments, subject to the fines provided for in the bylaw.

    Fees

    No charges apply.

    Procedure

No permit is required to install a temporary car shelter.
